Gillian Cromarty

I am “retired” at the moment but I worked for Kent Children’s University from 2004 until August 2010 as the administrator and a tutor. I worked in schools throughout Kent teaching cookery with children from years 2 to 7. Sometimes we had access to a cookery room but in other instances there were no facilities so I had to come up with recipes that needed very little cooking. I also made cards using many different materials.

I started the truffle demonstrations a little by accident. I am a committee member of a retirement club and they asked me to do a truffle demonstration as they needed something for our AGM meeting one April. I organise trips, speakers and publish the newsletter for the retirement club.

I am fully DBS checked and volunteer in a nursery part time.

I like to have as much fun as possible so the demonstrations are light hearted and interactive where possible.
