Vulcan XL318 is
preserved at the RAF Museum in Hendon, just North of London. She is
the only fully functional Vulcan to have been dismantled and
transported by road then reassembled. She was moved from Scampton to
Hendon during March 1982.
The aircraft can never be moved from the museum unless she is
dismantled again or unless major structure changes take place to the
museum itself.
This Vulcan was the
final Avro aircraft to belong to the
famous 617 sqdn (The Dambusters).
Her last flight was in December 1981.
